Online entry is now open in RiderHQ for the West Midlands Regional Championships. Enter Here.
As usual, they will also form part of our league. All WMCCL members who are in the Youth, Adult and Masters categories and who ride the Championships will receive average League points. For the Under-12 categories, it is a normal League event. There is no official championship for Under-12s, and League points will be awarded as usual based on finishing position.
The Regional Championships will be open to youth and adult riders who hold a valid British Cycling Racing Licence with West Midlands stated on it in accordance with British Cycling Regulations – see below.
WMCCL members who have a different region on their Racing Licence, will be awarded their average WMCCL points if they ride this event or if they ride their ‘home’ regional championship. However, they need to tell us that they have ridden another regional championship using the form on the League Tables page. We have decided to extend this to Under-12 riders who ride another championship event on the same day – because they may be attending that with a parent who also rides.
Here are the British Cycling regulations concerning eligibility for Regional Championships:
- G11.4. Eligibility
- G11.4.1. Subject to G11.4.3 for individual Events, a rider may only compete in a Regional Championship for the Region stated on their Racing Licence.

- G11.4.3 Regional Championships shall be open to full time students or members of the armed forces who by necessity are required to live away from the Region of their normal residence.
