Round 10, organised by Newport Shropshire Cycling Club, will bring a full day of fast, exciting cyclocross racing to a venue steeped in British sporting history.

Lilleshall is a recognised UK Sport Elite Training Centre and has played a significant role in British sport for generations. Officially opened by the then Princess Elizabeth in 1951, the centre has welcomed some of the country’s leading athletes and sporting organisations. Famously, England’s football team trained at Lilleshall ahead of their historic 1966 World Cup victory, while today it remains the home of British Gymnastics and a world-class training environment for elite sport.

Against that remarkable backdrop, riders of all ages and abilities will get the chance to create some sporting memories of their own.

The West Midlands Cyclocross League is one of the region’s leading off-road cycling competitions, with racing throughout the day from the youngest Under-6 riders through youth, junior, senior and masters categories. Whether chasing league points, trying cyclocross for the first time or simply looking for a memorable day’s racing, Lilleshall promises to be a special addition to the 2026/27 calendar.

Riders are encouraged to enter in advance, with advance entry offering better value than entering on the day. Come and race cyclocross at a venue where British sporting history has been made.
