Sally Reid of Pedal Power Loughborough was our clear winner in the V65-69 Female category, but that tells only half the story.
In spite of being the second oldest rider in the field, she finished in the top 9 overall in every race she did and achieved the 13th highest points average amongst all the women who competed in WMCCL 2024. She demonstrates that you can be successful in cyclocross throughout life.
Sally has told us that she loved all the races from first to last. Her two favourite events were at Baggeridge and Sandwell, but she really enjoyed battling it out with all the women in the League on so many varied and challenging courses.
She was particularly proud of the top-10 finish in all her races and her 5th place at Sandwell. The muddier it gets, the better she likes it! And she plans to return next season, so her younger competitors need to up their game.
Well done Sally!
