Isabelle Dent from Worcester St John’s Cycling Club rode every round of WMCCL 2025/26 and she won all but two of the Under-10 Girls’ races. That gave her the highest possible points score in our best 10 from 12 system: 1,000 points! It was nevertheless a tough category with Felicity Keene of Redditch Road & […]
If Darren Atkins (Team Mi Racing Townsend Vehicle Hire) doesn’t win one of our Masters 50+ races, then he finishes second! He won four and finished second in five to take the M55 Open title. He was also the West Midlands Regional Champion for 2025 in that category. Warren Drew of Ride for Charlie was […]
The Senior Open category in the WMCCL is always tough. Not only is the regular competition really strong, but you have to contend with the Under-23s and with the occasional top rider who visits us. Anthony Neave of @Stourbridge Cycling Club overcame these challenges to win the category. He made the combined Senior/U23 podium five […]
Cyclocross is a life-long passion. The youngest riders in the WMCCL are under 6 years old. Our next featured rider is at the other end of that spectrum. The Under-16 Female category in WMCCL 2025/26 was very competitive. Five riders secured at least one win. But the rider with most wins was Jaime Downing of Halesowen Cycling Club. Nick Morris of Clee Cycles was our Masters 40-45 Open Champion for 2025/26. Consistency was the key to his success. Rebecca Woodvine is a shining example to all our young riders. She grew up riding the WMCCL, and is now riding at the top level in the UK and Europe. But she ‘comes home’ to the League whenever she can, and she did that enough times this season to become our Under-23 Female Champion. Here’s […]
At the end of every season, we celebrate each of our category winners. We’ll be telling you about all 31 of them here (in no particular order) over the coming weeks. Here’s the first.
