Over 500 riders are entered for the National Trophy Race at Shrewsbury over the weekend of November 11th and 12th. Local riders are likely to be at the head of affairs, not least series leader Beth Crumpton who is in incredible form taking the scalp of Italian Champion Eva Lechner at Abergavenny. Liam Killeen will be looking to recreate his National Championship winning form as he chases series leader Ian Field but will not have it all his own way with our 2017 World Championship podium riders stepping up to u23.
Veteran riders race on Saturday and our newly crowned European Champion Vic Barnett will be in action and Steve Knight will be looking to go one better than his silver at Abergavenny and a plethora of our younger talent will be going for gold in the Junior race which starts Sundays racing at 10am and a huge maximum field of 140 riders in the Youth category.
Unfortunately due to the size of field and our obligation to minimum training time, the inclusion of a separate Vet Women race, other activities taking place at Shrewsbury Sports Village impacting on parking and no separate course available, we are unable to offer under 12 racing over the weekend.
